Who we are
Admiral Games is the brand of ADMIRAL AG 2020 EOOD, registered in the Bulgarian Commercial Register under UIC 205914628. Our registered office is at 112 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., floor 1, office 1, Druzhba 2, Iskar district, 1582 Sofia, Bulgaria. We make the game Immortal Hunters and run this website, and we are the controller of the personal data described here under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This policy covers this website and Immortal Hunters in every store where it is sold, including the game's online features. Send any privacy question or data protection request to admiralgamesmg@gmail.com or by post to the address above.
This website
The site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and has no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Fonts and images load from our own server, not from third parties.
To send you a page, the server has to receive your IP address and the usual details of the request: which page, when, and from which browser. Like most web servers, it records these details in access logs, and our hosting panel builds visit statistics from them. We use them only to keep the site working and secure and to see overall traffic. We don't try to identify visitors from them and don't combine them with other data.
Your browser remembers the language you chose in its local storage. That setting stays on your device and is not sent to us.
The trailer is hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, the video comes from Google, which receives your IP address and may store cookies on your device under the Google Privacy Policy.
The site runs on a shared hosting server in the Netherlands that we rent from FlokiNET, an Icelandic hosting company. FlokiNET handles its own server and network logs under its privacy policy. Links to other sites, such as Steam, Discord, VK and our publisher indie.io, take you to services with their own privacy policies.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, your message and any attachments. We use this only to answer you and, for business enquiries, to work with you. Our mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail).
Immortal Hunters
Buying the game
You buy and download Immortal Hunters through a store such as Steam or the Epic Games Store. Your store account and your payment are covered by that store's own privacy policy, and we never receive your card or bank details. Stores give us sales and usage reports only in aggregate, which don't identify you.
Online co-op
The Steam version of the game uses Steamworks, provided by Valve Corporation, and the Epic Games Store version uses Epic Online Services, provided by Epic Games, Inc. They let you create and join co-op lobbies, see which of your friends are online or playing, invite them and connect with the other players. We don't run game servers of our own.
To make online play work, the game uses:
- your Steam or Epic Games account ID and your display name;
- your friends list on Steam or Epic Games, with names and, where available, avatars, to show it on the invite screen;
- in the Epic Games Store version, a player ID the game gets from Epic Online Services;
- the in-game data a co-op session needs, such as your Hunter and what happens in the match.
Other players in your lobby and session see your display name. Session data exists only while you play together.
During a session, the players' computers exchange game data directly or through relay servers of these services. When they connect directly, the other players in the session can see your IP address, as in most peer-to-peer games.
Playing with an Epic Games account
In the Epic Games Store version, the game signs in with your Epic Games account through Epic Account Services and asks your permission to use:
- your basic profile: your Epic account ID, display name, language preference and the display names of accounts linked to it;
- your online presence, so the game can show your in-game status to your Epic friends and see theirs;
- your Epic friends list: the game sees only those of your friends who have also allowed it.
The game doesn't ask for your email address or your country. It uses this information only for the online features described above, to pick the game's language and for the gameplay statistics described below. We don't use it for advertising or profiling, and we don't sell it. You can remove the game's access at any time in your Epic Games account settings. For how Epic Games handles your data, see the Epic Games Privacy Policy.
The Steam version uses your Steam ID, Steam name, friends list and language in the same way. See the Steam Privacy Policy.
Gameplay statistics and crash reports
The game sends gameplay statistics to Unity Analytics, a service of Unity Technologies, so that we can see how the game is played, balance it and fix problems. Statistics are sent when the game starts and at key moments: how long the game took to load, when you start a new game or continue one, watch the intro video, choose a Hunter, start or finish a quest, open a text quest, upgrade a building, read a dialogue or change the language, and when a co-op match starts, progresses or ends, or a player leaves it. An event contains:
- your player ID, which is your Steam or Epic Games account ID;
- the time, the game language and the number of players;
- which quest, level, dialogue or building the event is about, and the result of the match;
- your computer's configuration: device model, operating system, processor type, number of cores and frequency, memory, and the name, type and memory of your graphics card.
Unity's analytics library adds its own technical data, such as a random ID of your game installation and session details.
If the game crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Unity Cloud Diagnostics with the error type and call stack, the last lines of the game's log, the game version and your computer's configuration. Log lines and file paths can incidentally contain your account ID, display name or your computer's user name.
As with any internet connection, Unity receives your IP address when this data is sent and may use it to estimate your approximate country. For how Unity handles this data, see the Unity privacy policy for game players.
The game has no setting to turn statistics off. If you object to them, write to us and we will delete the statistics linked to your player ID.
On your computer
Your saves and settings are stored as files on your computer, in the AppData\LocalLow\Admiral Games\ImmortalHunters folder. The save file also contains your account ID and display name so the game can match it to your account. We can't see these files, and the game itself doesn't send them anywhere. If your store's launcher offers cloud saves and you use them, that store keeps a copy under its own privacy policy.
What the game doesn't do
The game shows no ads and uses no advertising identifiers. It doesn't collect your precise location or contacts, doesn't use your microphone or camera, and doesn't track you across other apps and websites.
